Mount Everest has two main base camps, one on the south side in Nepal and one on the north side in Tibet. The clue points to the northern camp, which sits on the Tibetan Plateau, making "TIBET" the correct answer. Since Tibet is an autonomous region of China, some might associate it with China, but the geographic and cultural identity of the area is distinctly Tibetan.
